Our Pet Supply Store grew out of our love for all animals. We provide everything you need to keep an animal in your home because we have pets in ours.
We understand the special bond between pets and their owners, and we want to encourage that kind of love in everyone.

Rubens has been a part of the Blackwood community for over 30 years providing not only quality fresh pet food, but a range of dry food and accessories.
The name of the shop comes from the original owners Bernese Mountain dog, Ruben became not only part of the shop but a part of the Blackwood community, people travelled from all over SA to visit the shop to see Ruben. Sadly Ruben passed away, but the name stuck and that's the way we like it.
We want shopping at Rubens to be an experience the whole family can enjoy. Bring your pets to the store and we’ll give them the VIP treatment while you shop. Test out our products, grab a tasty treat for your pet, pick up some essentials and have fun!

FRESH MEATLOAVES/MEAT
At Rubens, we produce fresh natural meatloves, varieties include Chicken,Beef & Roo and Gluten Free Chicken. We use seasonal vegetables such as carrots,pumpkin,sweet potato,kale,silverbeet, and spinach. Our meatloaves are made fresh everyday by our very own onsite Butcher, they are free from fillers and preservatives.
Our fresh meat products include Beef,Roo,Turkey and Chicken. We also have a wide variety of Bones and Offal which are frozen for your convenience. We are always looking at adding new products, so please pop in and check out our new arrivals board.
PET TREATS
Every pet owner knows that their animal friend needs a treat, and here at Rubens we’ve got exactly what you need. We have a large varieties of meat treats including chicken, beef, roo, goat and pork. We also stock an amazing line of biscuits and snacks, there really is something for everyone.
DRY FOODS
A healthy pet needs lots of attention and activity.Thats why at Rubens we stock a full range of Premium Dry Dog and Cat foods, including Advance, Black Hawk,Hills Science Diet and Ivory Coat, Pro Plan, Meals For Mutts, Lifewise, Ziwi Peak if we dont stock the brand you are looking for just ask, at Rubens we love to help.

BIRD AND SMALL ANIMAL
Rubens stocks a full range of bird seeds from leading brands such as Independant Own,Yankalilla Seed and Wombaroo.
We also stock Poultry and Small Animal feed from Laucke and Barastoc all at fodder store prices.Being Independant we have access to a wide varitey of products, if we dont have it just ask and we will do our best to source it for you.
FISH AND REPTILE
We now stock Bulk Goldfish and Tropical Flake and a wide range of Fish Fuel products.
Live Crickets and Mealworms are also available at least 1 day's notice may be needed for all live products.
